Sports competitions have always been the most important activity of Qalam Qirtas. Jashn-e-Azadi Badminton Tournament has been regularly held for 15 fifteen years. It not only promoted the game of badminton in the area but it also became the major event held for celebration of independence of our beloved country. the final match of the tournament was always played on the evening of 14th august every year which was followed by the prize distribution ceremony and many other items till the mid night. Gymnastic show, Gatkay, and music show were also added to the event which enriched the event and attracted large number of spectators every year. This tournament also provided a great platform to all politicians and social leaders to share their ideas and plans with the public at the time of closing ceremony and prize distribution.

Apart from this tournament Qalam Qirtas also hold Batti, Heavy stone lifting competitions, Karate shows and competitions round the year in order to provide our community great opportunity of entertainment and keep in touch with the traditional sports.
